The potato is planted inches under the soil. The feelings of wanting to hide, disappear, feelings of shame or unworthiness. There is always growth in dark places. 
Potato gives just enough time to feel and process these lower vibrations until it is ready to sprout above soil. A wonderful friend to have during times of spiritual growth, ascension, awakening.
When the flower blooms, it signals to the potato that you're through the hardest part, when you couldn't even imagine where the light could be. 
You have risen, growth is all around you. Honouring for all you have been through.
